The interdisciplinary graduate program in 分子 & Cellular Biology at newbb电子平台 offers students the opportunity to conduct their research in state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, with each contributing home department providing laboratory research space critical to advancing science in their discipline.

Biological Sciences 研究 设施

Available research facilities include an electron microscopy facility; a quantitative microscopy and imaging facility with a laser scanning confocal microscope; exercise and metabolic physiology facilities; a hybridoma facility; and a molecular genetics laboratory with computer-assisted DNA, 核糖核酸, and protein sequencing facilities.
 

化学 & Biochemistry 研究 设施

设施 for biochemistry research are housed in a 15,000-square-foot research building that was specially designed for biochemical research. Instrumentation on-site and available to students of the program include three superconducting NMR spectrometers, macromolecular modeling computer workstations, DNA and protein sequencing facilities, and a microinjection facility for the production of transgenic animals.

The Edison Biotechnology Institute engages in many facets of research in molecular, cellular and developmental biology. 威尔弗雷德R. The facility is equipped with the state-of-art instruments for DNA sequencing, microsatellite analysis, 妊娠, SNP检测, DNA microarray scanner, quantitative PCR machine and other equipment to evaluate the DNA, 核糖核酸 and protein integrity. The personnel at the facility also provide training and help with the experimental design. The facility also has dedicated computer workstations and special bioinformatics needs including customized programs for researchers can also be addressed here at the 基因组学工具 in conjunction with the Bioinformatics group.
